The Laughlin Chamber of Commerce helps not only promote our members and their businesses, organizations, and charities — we also work hard for our community. This involves many things, such as being on the Board of Directors for local groups to help shape our community, helping to bring new businesses into our community, working with other groups to help the children and young adults in the area, and so much more.
A lot of what we do is only successful if YOU participate! Join us at our events, network, promote your business. You can ask other members for tips, just have fun talking, or maybe even make a new friend. You’re guaranteed to have a wonderful evening networking and enjoying the fabulous food that is provided
We also work very hard to bring new people to our area — on both sides of the river. We have over 2,000,000 visitors each year, and send out thousands of relocation packets every year. Many visitors come into the Chamber for direct advice and recommendations — please note, we are only able to promote businesses that are members of the Chamber.
The harder we work at attracting new residents, whether they are full-time or part-time, helps increase money spent in our area — which helps us all!
The Chamber also works with local and state legislators, and they fight for what is right for Laughlin. We “speak” for the residents, to help make our community even better, help certain bills NOT pass the legislature, and fight for other bills to BE passed. For many years now, we’ve been trying to get scheduled air service to Laughlin — instead of people having to fly into Vegas and drive down here. We’ve generously donated $25,000 in support – with another $25,000 worth of advertising.
Our Chamber also plays a key role in developing coalitions and alliances on public policy issues that impact both local businesses and residents. We have several committees that help our community as a whole — legislative, scheduled air service, community improvement projects, and the second bridge committee.
Please note, if you don’t help US — we can’t help YOU as well as possible, in a variety of ways. If you are a member, please make sure you are taking advantage of every opportunity to network your business, get information out there, send us information about special events, send us any special offers you are having, send us ads when you are hiring, etc.
We also have a few charitable fundraising events this year, that generally allow us to donate at least $30,000 each year to a variety of groups and programs. We cannot do that without fundraising support in the form of sponsorships, donations, etc. from our local members.
Our members are promoted via phone calls, our website, Facebook, Twitter, listings and ads in our annual Community Guide, our email blasts, sponsorships, ads on our website — there are so many ways!
