VIP (Volunteer In Partnership)
In 2006 Judy Royer reorganized the group, which had increased to 12. The group has continued to grow and so have the opportunities for the VIP’s. With membership numbers continuing to rise, they now stand at 90 strong. In any given year, the VIP’s are involved in a wide variety of events. Always in attendance at Ribbon Cuttings for new and existing Chamber members, you will find VIP’s at the Connie Davis 5K Walk & Roll for Cancer, Run Laughlin Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, Bullhead City Boom Box Parade, Clark County Parks & Recreation Egg Hunt and Fall Festival, the former Bullhead City/Laughlin River Regatta, Boys & Girls Club of the Colorado River events, Chef’s Food Fest, Community Achievement Awards, selling water at Laughlin River Run, Off Road Races & UTV Championships, and many more events throughout the year. They enjoy helping private and nonprofit entities succeed with their events, with the hope that others will want to come back to our community.
The VIP’s are a unique array of people, with members residing from Laughlin, Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, and
other surrounding areas. There are full time residents and “snowbirds” from all over the country (all of whom can hardly wait to come back when it cools off here!).
For the most part, the VIP’s have all come here from other places and were looking for something to do. They enjoy meeting new people, learning more about the area and doing what they can to help. As VIP’s, they have an enhanced understanding of how the community works and how they can work together for a common goal. That made them the obvious choice to be awarded the Ambassador role at the Laughlin/Bullhead City International Airport.
While being involved in all these events, there arose opportunities for the VIP’s to raise funds that would enable them to help local 501 (c) 3 charities with their causes. To date the VIP’s have donated over $78,500 to numerous charities, schools, and youth groups, in our Colorado River Region.
From “eating dirt” at the off-road races, to helping the children at the egg hunt, to donning their formal attire for the Community Achievement Awards, the VIP’s are happy to do whatever is needed of them. “The Volunteers in Partnership are extremely pleased to help so many organizations in the Colorado River Region.
It is a wonderful feeling to know that we can give back to the area we love and now call home.”
– Joyce Moreno, VIP Liaison.

VIP (Volunteers in Partnership)
Our incredible team of volunteers work in partnership with the Chamber, and that is how they got to be our “VIP’s”
LEARN MORE ABOUT VIPs
Our VIP’s do an amazing job of supporting our community events, with thousands of volunteer hours and financial donations to a variety of local charities, courtesy of local events where they volunteer and accept “tips” or other small fees.
They meet once per month, on the second Tuesday at 5pm NV at the various locations. They suspend meetings during June – July – August.
Our VIPs are available for community events at the discretion of the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce President/CEO, Jackie Mazzeo, and the Chamber VIP Liaison, Joyce Moreno.
